Thanks alot everyone for the responses. i had not thought about the steering column or the radiator mounting thats great input. i do know it would be hard but for the stance i want if i get the guts its worth trying. That was deffinitly the answers i was looking for thanks

I forgot two other items.

1. The inner fender support will need to be modified to move up the inner fenders. I guess you could remove them entirely, but I prefer inner fenders on my cars. I like to drive my rides, but don't want all the road scum and dirt on my motor.

2. The hood hinges will need to be modified or replaced by something else. The inner fenders/wheels will hit them.

I think this is a great idea. I don't like the idea of my subframe sitting 2-1/2" off the ground or my body sitting 7" high. This, in my opinion, is a great way to build a low car that can be thrashed on public roads without bottoming out.
