      Pet scratches

The dog jumped on the side trying to look in. Then while I happen to have the cover off looks like a cat tried to climb the hood. What should I do, they look sort of light. Looks like they could be buffed out. The guy that painted the car said the is about 3-4 coats of clear on it. How careful should I be? Should I try waxing them out? I do have some 1500 grit something or otherin a tube to get scratches out.

      Thanks Jeff

      scratches

can you catch a finger nail on them?? if so you will not get it all the way out, you will tone it down alot though.
use 1500 and wet sand th4e areas, keep drying area off to watch whats going on, and so you do not sand thru clear, wet sand until orange peel is gone, i would then jump to 2500 and go alittle more, 2500 will buff out alot faster and will not need the what 1500 grit scratches need to be buffed out. then buff, even if there is a scratch there stillit wil be toned way down and after glazing you should not be bale to see it unless right down at car panel level and looking at a side angle, goodluck

Have someone with experience run a buffer over it with some Finnesse(or faxsimile thereof), doing that should remove the scuff marks.
