Help with Vintage air problem.

Hi guys im presently fitting a VA gen 4 kit to my 69 camaro witha a ls1.
My problem is that the pipe kit from the unit to the engine bay states that it is to fit a 55-56 chev!
Now the pipes just wont align as per the instructions and to suit the plate that they pass thru.
Can anyone tell me if they are the right pipes or should i just wait to contact them on Monday night?
