Need Help PLEASE! (front coil spring ride height)

I have a 70 Chevelle with a big block. If you have a similiar car with 26" tall tires (+/- 1/2"), I want to know what your front measured height is from the ground to the bottom of the fender trim is and what factory type coil spring you have. I'm trying to find something close to 26". I'm thinking I will be a factory small block spring or a 1" drop. Please let me know what you have. Thanks, Chris

      1969 GTO.
      I have a 26.1 inch diameter front tire (235/60R15) and a 15 inch wheel.

I have installed the SC&C Stage II package which includes adjustable upper A-Arms and tall ball joints.

I have SPC Front and Rear Lowering Springs.

The height from the ground to the chrome wheel well lip is 23 3/4 driver side and 24 1/4 passenger side.

This is not enough for long tube headers. The minimum clearance front the header collector is about 2 1/2 inches. No speed bumps for me.

My solution is to install a 17 inch wheel and 255/50R17 tires all around (27.09 diameter). This will increase the front wheel radius about 1/2 inch.

I then plan on installing a 1/2 inch spring spacer on the front. This will give me another inch.

Total height increase should be 1 1/2 inches which should bring the header clearance up to aroun 3 1/2 inches. This may not be enough for speed bumps but it will limit the header flange road contact when hitting bumps.

I have long tube headers as well. If I had a 26" measurement, it would give me about 5" ground clearance to the header flange. I just have a stock front suspension right now and I really want to order some front springs asap. Thanks for the reply

What kind of car do you have? I assume a Camaro since that is in your user name. If you have an A-Body I have a brand new in the box set of SPC front and rear A-body lowering springs. They have never been out of the box and never been used. I accidentally recieved 2 orders when I only ordered 1 set. I contacted the vendor and they said they would send UPS to pickup the extra order. It has been months and UPS never came so I am selling them.

Update. I just installed my 17 inch wheels and Nitto 255/50R17 tires. Turns out the tires are way more than 1 inch large than the 235/60R17. Even though the onlines specifications on each tires say the Nittos are just and inch larger, in reality they are about 3 inches larger in diameter. I gained about an inch in header clearance with the new wheels and tires installed. I will have to do some work on my fender lip to get the 255/50's to work out well on the front. Tonight I used some vice grips to gently roll in the front and rear fender well. The top is going to require a little more finesse.
