How to pull a pump on a 4l60e
How do you pull the pump on a 4l60e?

remove pan
remove filter
remove tcc solenoid (2-10 mm head bolts)
now the tricky part, i usually slide a large screwdriver under the pump and "pop" it.
are you rebuilding/resealing?

Thanks Kevin. Rebuilding. Broke the sun shell, and figured I might as well put in new friction discs too. Any other tips? None of my specialty tools are for automatics. If I need any of the tools (such as J ####) listed in the back of the ATSG manual where do I find them? Or can I get lucky and improvise on all of them?

we made the piston spring compressors with misc stuff from lowe's. a friend od mine still works at the chevy dealer and i can get the stuff i need anytime. if you have any specific questions pm me.
