      Am I correct to assume that this is designed to even out the signal to the fuel gauge?

      Yes, sorry I should have given more details. If you are on curvy or bumpy road or anything else that would cause fuel slosh this unit with eliminate all the "peaks and valleys" in what you see when watching your gauge. This is normally a greater problem for vehicles with fuel tanks that aren't baffled. We were originally asked to develop this product by a customer who does a lot of hot rods. We have provided this customer with a handful of units to test, but the problem is that many of these vehicles aren't on the road yet. We need some testers that can give us feedback on driveable vehicles.
