      Axles for rear discs-Duthcman

I posted awhile back about second Gen F body Moser axle's brake pilot being too short to help locate wheels that are hubcentric if you use a rear disc. Dutchman can make them with a longer pilot and the ones I just got look good. Not as shiny as Mosers but they would at least do a longer pilot where Moser acted like I was crazy to even need such a thing.

I think it comes down to the forgings they're starting with as to the maximum heights they can make the rotor/wheel register. If the forgings don't have the material, there isn't much they can do about it short of putting material back on versus taking it off. That said, it's good to know that Dutchman has the forgings...do you know how tall they can make the register is your dealings with them?

Tobin my TA RWD axles are .660 and that is what we shot for,Derrick there said not a lot more available . I'll put a caliper on them tonight. They did keep the flange OD right to slide on one of your rear rotors- a little smaller than the GM OD. Flange is identical to the Mosers I have.

I agree it is the forgings they start with-funny thing though Strange told me their Ford blanks have a similar pilot OD but are longer than their GM one also so they could use that in a custom axle. Moser guys would even explore using a Ford blank. The guys are Duthcman were helpful and had these custom ones out in a week. I had them drilled for 7/16 and metric 12mm so if I go with a 1LE rotor with metric studs or even a different front brake that takes metrics on the front I can match that in the rear.
