1955 Chevy Convertible Pro Touring - Rat Rod. Help! What wheels!?

Guys, I really need some help. What do I put on this car to make it look "right!"

I'm sort of a 5 spoke billet kind of guy. would also consider gray center. But I also have a creative mind. Looking for pop, unique and timeless classic.


I'm lookin at 275/40ZR20's for the back (on 20x9 with 4.5 BS)
245/45ZR18's for the front (18x8 w 4.5 BS)
BF Goodrich Comp 2 tires seem to be the front runner so far. But I'm open to suggestions.

Ride tech 4 link installed in back. Getting ready to install shockwaves.


Rockytopper did this rendition on photoshop. I need to purchase ASAP.

I am also concerned about buying w the wrong backspacing and being stuck w the wheels.

What disc brake kit do you have and how much does it push the track width out? Like I said in the other thread you made I dont think you will be able to fit an 18x8 up front if you want it to sit like it does in the photoshop and retain some turning radius

They are Wilwood 6 pistons on front and back. Dynapro kit 12.15" front and back w the 6 piston upgrade.

Rear is a 9" narrowed to 57-1/4" (outside to outside)

We run an 18x7 (225/50/18) with 4.5 backspace on a negative offset brake kit. That seems to be the widest you can go when you are tucking rim into the fender at ride height. You will need more backspacing since your brake kit most likely pushes the track width out a bit. If you are going to be at close to stock height when you drive the car and only air it down when you are parked then you should be able to fit the 245 tire on an 8" rim
