How to "prevent" vent windows from closing on the highway?

How to "prevent" vent windows from closing on the highway?

Is there an adjustment that I can tighten? or do I have to replace some parts that are worn out?

Underneath (and attached to) of the vent window is a stud that has a nut and a spring on it. Tighten up the nut, and compress the spring a bit more and that SHOULD do the trick.

sanding the pivoting surface of the washers invloved with rough sandpaper will help too.

      The answer is understanding physics.
One simply could always drive in reverse.
The wind resistance would surely keep the vent window from closing.
      Sorry I couldn't resist..
Good luck with the more practical solutions.
