      hey everyone

i'm andrew i live in estes park colorado and i recently purchased a 1978 ford fairmont futura with a 302 and a c4 auto. i would like to turn it into a pro touring street machine. i haven't seen a futura g-machine but i figure i could always be the first. i know it shares the fox platform with the 79-93 mustang so pretty much anything that works on the mustang will bolt on with no or only minor modifications. this is my first v8 domestic, all my previous car have been fwd compacts, but its awesome having a v8 . i am currently doing bodywork on it getting it ready for paint, i still am not sure what color i should go with(its currently badly faded red) if anyone has a cool color combo that they think would look good i'm open to suggestions . my futura looks likes this http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TgAAA...05556644111958 but with bad paint and different wheels

Welcome to the board. Straying from the "Norm" is cool. Good luck on your build.

thanks for the warm welcome, i'll post pics as soon as i get some. i"ve decided to paint it a charcoal gray metallic, but i'm still a month or two off from painting it. i"m still undecided on what wheels to run but i think they will be black with a polished lip.:icon996:

Put a mustang drivetrain in.... that would be cool!
Your model of car was mentioned as on of the top ten unrealized potential PT project cars.
Way cool... can wait to see the updates...
