Hi all



How can I know which rotors will fit on my car?And how can I know what caliper will bolt onto my car?

Mercedes benz w108 not sure of the wheel size,does the rotors have to have the same PCD as the wheels?

Most rotors are hub-centric, so the PCD doesn't necessarily have to match, it's actually not at all uncommon to not have them match in some OE applications. Take the 1998-2002 F-body for instance, it has a 5x120.65m wheel pattern and rotors with a 5x118mm pattern, but with oversized wheel stud holes to maintain compatibility. That said, the center bore needs to match the hub.

And how can I know if brake caliper will be able to bolt to my spindles?

You have a lot of research to do. Pretty much nothing will be a direct bolt on from one car to another. You will almost certainly need to use adapter brackets for the calipers. You only hope might be swapping stuff from a newer Benz.

There is not much info on this site for old Benz stuff. Hopefully you are also checking with the Benz forum to see what will work.

You are likely heading in the direction of a custom setup.

Thanks for the heads up csouth.jpgolf14,I don't mind a custom setup more fun to make.I am not sure on wheels and brakes.The current brakes are 30 to 40 years old and I want to build a car that won't have to stand back for the licks of most high performance street cars(so basically a toy).
