Quick Ratio Steering Box???

Want to firm up and quicken the steering on my 72 Chevelle. What is the stock ratio that I have....and more importantly....what should I be looking to upgrade to?

Will 3rd gen F bodies fit a Chevelle? I'm a big fan of the Iroc box. It's quick ratio, sends less boost to the steering wheel and allows for more road feel. I hear they are very similar in function to the Lee 670. $25 at a salvage yard.

I don't recommend ordering an Iroc box from a parts retailer as I have see the same part numbers for RS as Iroc-z. You'll likely get a regular 3rd gen box that fits Iroc-z and not an Iroc box.
