I have been checking this place out for some time, waiting to finally be able to start working on my car. And then i picked up a different one. I had planned on working up my 64 Fairlane but I ran accross one of my childhood hero's cars. When i was a teenager my dad had a '68 XR7 and I have allways loved them. I was able to pick this one up horsetrading a treadmill and a C4 transmission. We only found a couple of previous body repairs, the only perforated rust was in the passenger footwell and on the driver side trunk floor. The footwell is only a 3" diameter and the trunk is smaller than a dime and would likely get cut out doing a mini tub anyways.














It will be a slow build but i plan on starting with an AJE front crossmember set up, using a 302 i have sitting and converting to 5 speed. My brother is already working on engineering an electric set up for the headlight doors with motors out of a couple of Hyundai seats that were replaced under warranty.

That may be the original color of this car. I found green in the trunk and under some of that blue.

Great Project.!!!These are car's that offen get over looked.I think the body lines are beautiful.I would love to build one of these for my Wife.Please keep posting your progress.

When I still had it, I was considering a re-paint with the 05-07 Mustang Legend Lime color. It's real close but with more metallic and pop
