Can the treadwear rule be changed to 180? That seems to open up the tire selection quite a bit for me(205/50/15) and I'm sure for others as well.

Alcino, you won't ever be turned away for not having 200TW tires, at least no one has been in the past. You would simply be placed in the exhibition class, and would probably even receive times.

Oh, I didn't realize I could still play. Sounds good but looks like my next tires should probably be 200 with other events enforcing that value.

Just a quick update. Jason (from TCI) has connected us with the OCCA, and it looks as if we may be adding the 'Great Labor Day Cruise' to the event list. We are looking at the G lot, way in back, this site is almost 3x the size of the side lot space used in the past. SEMA this week, I'll keep you posted on what develops.

Awesome I'll definitely attend a few of these! I've never driven the one at the great labor day cruise but I remember watching and it seemed too small, 3x seems much better

This series looks pretty exciting, Rob. It'll be fun to have our little OCCA autocross back on the calendar. I really missed having it this year.

News. As part of the So Cal Challenge expansion, we will be adding a point value to attending and placing at other So-Cal area events. These points will be added to the points from our events towards the 2013 season championship. To gain these points you will need to be signed up and paid for at least one So Cal Challenge event BEFORE attending the other events. BTW, the registration number that you get when you register will be your number all year, so if you want to pick a number, register soon. Events that we will be adding a point value to are GoodGuys Del-Mar, Pleasanton, and Scottsdale, RTTC (spring and fall), Cruisin' for a cure, LA Roadsters fathers day show, GNRS cruise in (car must be on the grounds) and more to be listed.
Picture points. We will also be awarding points for pictures of your car at various locations. Such as, you and your car at the Rock Store, Holcomb Ranch on Angeles Crest Hwy, Chad's Place in Big bear, Hearst Castle, at the top of Palomar mt., Vegas, Laughlin, .......... On this one, if you have any good spots, let us know.
We will also be raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project all year. We will have a link for all competitors to post up a picture of you and your car that others can pledge to. Pledge amounts will be based on A) one time pledge, or B) dollar per point. At the end of the season, points will be givin out to the top ten fund raisers.

***** Now, we are working on some really cool deals for the series champions. So get out there and drive your car, go to events, and have some fun.

I am starting to get excited about this year's events. I like the time frame of the first RTTC and the first SoCal Challenge. Hopefully some of the out of state guys will stick around.

Our first 2013 event is almost here. The timing on this event makes it a perfect oportunity to get in shape for the season. One week after RTTC, and one week before the GoodGuys Scottsdale season opener, this is a great chance to get some valuable seat time. Spots are filling fast. Dont miss out. www.socalchallenge.com

whoo hoo, Im signed up. Looking forward to seeing all you So Cal drivers (and others) at these events. Great venue selection for this upcoming racing season. Dates work perfectly if you are planning to attend any of the West Coast Goodguys. Good job for all the sponsors who have worked on this event to make it come to life.

FYI, the new Adams Motorsports track record is now in the low 43's (I think 43.3xxxx something) set by that pesky little miata on slicks. Lol.

      Cheers

I had so much fun at this event last year, although I got eliminated way too early (thanks Brett/Rob), that I'm definitely coming back this year after RTTC. The AMP track is a hoot! Hope all the fast guys decide to show up: the Pozzis, Finch, DSE, ridetech, Mike M., Brian H., ect., and really make things interesting( I know you'll be there Casey). No telling what kind of times they could turn pushing each other! Wished I could make more of the SoCal Challenge events, but the AMP event is a MUST DO for me! See yall in a few weeks.
