From St Louis with a '72 Nova

Howdy! New here. 1972 Nova SS Clone. 383/TH350/8.5. Aside from the wheels the car looks as one would off the showroom floor.

All my previous cars have been street/strip or all out drag race. This time I'd like to go the Pro-Touring/G-Machine-style so that I can enjoy the car more on street, back roads, and maybe even some AutoX or Road Course events.

Idea in my head so far is some vintage style 17" wheels, (American Racing T70R, Torq-Thrust Original Gray, or Cragar Gray Eliminator Series 500). Upgrade the suspension with big sway bars, better shocks and springs. Install an auto/manual valve body in the trans and replace the column shifter with a ratchet shifter.

Man that thing looks clean for a Missouri car. I like the torq-thrust wheels also. But seems like every other car on this side of the state runs them. So I ended up with forgelie SO3 wheels.

Owner before the guy I got it from was from WV. It was originally a 307 2bbl, non-SS, solid green with green interior. I don't the history of the car, but I would guess the resto/cloning was done in the last 5 years.

I hear ya about the wheels. I'm not big on the rounded more common style TT's, and I hate chrome but I do like the Grey (as cast look) of the TTO. I like the Cragar Eliminators even more and will probably go with them. Wish they had the Grey S/S in 17's.
