Just got back from the SJ Grand Prix
OMFG that was awesome...
I can't believe they got the race to happen and I hope it becomes a local tradition.
1971 Camaro, 383 stroker ~500HP,M21 Trans with lightened flywheel. All Sorts of Auto-x Goodness in the Suspension. 12" Brakes ->SOLD
But ask me about my 2004 STi Auto-x car...

From what I've heard, it's a 5 year contract. I loved watching the cars bounce off the light rail tracks. That was an awesome show of driver ability in my opinion. I wish I could have gone myself. That would have been fun. Maybe next year. I wanna go check out the course sometime in the next couple weeks to get a feel for what it was. Kinda makes me happy as I've always wanted an event like that in the area.

The San Jose Grand Prix was awesome! It was great seeing the Champ cars compete. The vintage NASCARs were fun to watch too. I think the Formula D Drifting event was pretty cool. Some of the drivers were mixing it up on the straights, when some were only drifting in the corners.
I look forward to the next 4 years of the Grand Prix. It's good for the city and it's good for the local racing enthusiasts. My seats were great. At about 2PM the shade finally covered us. You (almost) couldn't as for a better event. The fact that I live 2 miles away really put the icing on the cake. A long day at the races with a very short trip home. YEAH!
If you went, you could have put in a bid on my Camaro at the silent auction.

When I saw open wheel cars going over a whoop section I thought I was seeing things.They could of put a chicane right before it to give those guys a break!
Glad you enjoyed the race, nothing like being there in person.
On a related note , Americans are making a stand in Motogp, watch it if you can.Nicky Hayden is riding well and a nice guy to meet so cheer for him if you catch the races.Great racing start to finish.

The Grand Prix was awesome! I think they should do it once a month. I'd be there.....
