Help/Opinions, where to buy billet specialties

Well, It's time to order wheels & tires for my chevy II !

I'm lookin at the billet specialties dragsters or maybe the outlaws, I think? 17x7 & 17x11(or 9.5..which ever is more available?)

I want a 275/50 on the rear and not too sure about the front yet?

I also really like the Halibrand Sprints, they offer a 17x6, 17x10!! I like the "hotrod" look!!!

Does anybody know of a good place to order billet specialties wheels from?!? Maybe somebody has better prices than somebody else or whatever...I would really appreciate it!

Give me some opinions on wheels too you guys!!!

      Thanks,
      Gary

On the front I want the maximum I think I can get? So I can keep the wheel tucked in.

The rear, the wheels on my chevelle fit pretty perfect, those are 9.5 w/ 5 1/4" bs.

I dont know if they have standard backspaces...maybe a 5 1/2 or something should fit!

I guess maybe I should check out the website and see whats "standard"!

      Thanks, Gary

Right, I know that..it's just that I wasn't wanting to get into a custom b/s order or something that will take along time to get, I have somewhat of a window of sizes that will fit!

Sign up at GPSuperstore.com and propose a Billet Specialties GP in the "wanted" section. You never know if you might get enough interest to get a nice discount.

I just got done purchasing a set of rims from Specialties. Try your local Discount Tire. You should be able to get 20% off list. R.P.

You might be going for a more vintage look, but the street stars are my favorite wheels from them for sure...

Try Howard @ Newstalgiawheel (www.newstalgiawheel.com). They carry Billet Specialties and are fast. I had mine within two weeks of ordering and with custom backspacing. Tell him that Tim sent you.

I second that for Howard at Newstalgia; I had BS make some custom Rebels for my 68. They were at my house two weeks later to the day, in perfect shape.

personally I would go with Discount Tire/americas tire for almost any wheel and tire selection. They will usually price match anyone, plus you have the piece of mind knowing that they will be around if you have a problem with something. I am not sure if they have this company in MI, but they are a pretty big company. They do not regualarly carry billet specialties, but they can order them.

I called newstalgia, didnt speak to howard though...pretty good deal, but I can buy the same tires from tire rack for $220 cheaper!! Thats a pretty considerable difference!!

I will call discount next and see what they got to say!

I dunno, maybe newstalgia will match the price on the tires?
