      mopar b-body question

hello, I attempted to search for this and found nothing, so if it has been covered already I apologize.

I am interested in turning my very poor handling plymouth roadrunner into a pro-touring type car. With it being a mopar it seems like I am very limited for options to lower the front and rear of the car. I am wondering if any companies make lowering part for the b-body. I would prefer to stay away from just lowering the torsion because that will just wear the tires out faster. any help would be appreciated.

Hi, while I'm not a "mopar man", I have seen some things for these cars.

I don't know if these are just for drag, but their adjustable A-arms will get some of the adjustability back after lowering. I don't know how well they are engineered or work I'm afraid...

These guys have some subframe connectors and such, guess you just have to search a bit to find more parts. I have a friend with a '71 Challenger who is in the same situation as you.

Is there a good place to call and get information on air bag suspensions. I am very interested in this but I am not sure about the procedure adn cost.

Fat Man Fabrications makes a 2" Mopar drop spindle and the Alerkation has adjustable coilovers. The Altercation does increase front track width slightly.

There are no companies of which I am aware that make lowering kits for classic Mopars. You really don't need one, because you have torsion bar suspension, which can be lowered by a few clicks of a wrench. The only real issue in lowering a Mopar is that of the strut rods; you would have to replace the strut rods in order to have proper geometry.
Anytime that you lower a car, especially if you change the alignment specs for maximum grip, tires WILL wear faster!

i have a 70 gtx and i changed torsion bars and leafs and got teh car down but still not enough, going to use a 1" lowering block in back to get teh rear to squat just a littel more, but i have to say even though i own 2 mopars the gm suspension is much easier
