Doesn't that LS engine use a drive by wire pedal?

I've been slowly making progress between the '63 and my shop. Right now they're both being wired.

I ended up having to get a different oil pan because the Hooker Headers I bought don't clear the sump kick-out on the passenger side. The new pan is wingless so everything clears.

I trimmed the frame a bit and the headers fit good too.

The only drawback is they hang low, but that's typical of Hooker Headers.

I had to add a spacer to the front bump stops so the headers don't get crushed when I deflate the bags.

I finally got around to sanding the interior and putting some color on it. After the first layer of paint dried, I noticed sanding marks so I wet sanded it and it's far from perfect but it looks better than the dash picture below.

And like I said, I'm doing the wiring now.

I've been trying to work on the truck whenever I have a chance and I actually made some progress over the last few weeks!

The wiring was going slowly but I really needed to get the battery mounted and connected so I could at least test circuits as I go. I finally got that done!

The dash is up and running (looks cool too!).

Headlights and turn signals are working now as well.

Nice Gauge Cluster. Also like the LED turn signals.

Small question. Did you make the battery box or is that something you can buy? Super simple and looks 100% secure.

The primary plan for the Camino is to refresh the engine and get it going over the winter. Glad to hear you like the ridetech coilovers, they really are nice shocks!

I bought it from Summit. It's all steel and is a solid piece for the money.

Such a cool build. I love these older C10's! The dash turned out great! Maybe I didn't read enough back in the post but are you keeping the patina look on the outside?

Thanks! My original plan was to keep the patina, but that could change. I replaced the rockers and the front fenders are getting fixed because they were pretty beat underneath so the patina is slowly disappearing. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I may end up doing a simple flat paint job to make it all one color again.

I understand that, once you start pulling stuff apart it starts to snowball LOL!. A flat blue would look pretty cool.

If the spots aren't to big that you are replacing maybe you can just blow them in. The truck has a good vibe, maybe try touching it up, like someone what trying to save it without spending the money on a repaint. Like what someone would do with a 10 year old car that is just starting to rust. Using modern paints, I bet you could match the colour and sheen close enough to get away with it. There, 2 cents. Cool build.

I'm going to try that first. If it doesn't work, then I'll go with the flat paint job, probably a similar blue to what's on it now. 2 cents much appreciated!
