Well, I fimally got to drive mine on Sunday. Unfortunately the starter broke and damaged the flexplate. Looks like I'm out until next time.

I like the wheels.. Wheels with that black finish are popular these days.But I'd say the wheels and blue paint would look leaner and meaner without that fender trim.

More reasons to come down and visit Saturday..The San Diego Karting and Super-Moto (Motorcycles) Racing Club.They have the West lot.They do real wheel to wheel racing.So we are on the parking lot next to freeway 15.They are on the west side of Qualcomm Stadium..

March 29,30,31 is the San Diego SCCA SOLO2 National Tour.The Good Guys Del Mar is the following weekend.So 2 big autocross events one week apart in SD.Sure glade not the same weekend

Tom, I ended up with 17x8x9; nt05 235 and 255. They feel so much better than my other tires. I'm quite excited for tomorrow.

Good times today!! Bryce was very impressive right out of the gate and ran a couple laps in the 65s. Rich was right behind breaking in new brakes on the 69 Mustang with laps in the 66s. I left before Tyler ran so don't know how the new tires worked?

Tylor did 66.0 before being shut down for a fuel tank leak. We think it was something simple like a vented fuel cap when it should of been unvented.The fairlane has that lower filler neck.A 65 second could of been his next lap but safety comes first.

Guys, make sure I get pics of any newcomers among PT guys! Also, still need a photo of Bryce. How I wish we had a telephoto lens...

I planned to take a few pics..But I showed up with a dead battery in my camera.I was going to ask you to take pics, but you were car hopping for rides.Like most of us.

Bryce we might have to still a pic off your Thread! for Facebook.or you can post your favorite one.

I'll be on my way back to the stadium in a few minutes..I hope to see you guys make it for a second day.And that Tylor is ready with a different fuel cap.
I'll be there before 10am thats a good time for all of us.

To add it was a great track.The D Club used every bit of space they could to build a fun challenging course.I counted 5 180 degree turns or U turns mixed with gates and solaloms.Perfecting the U turns and you would make up lots of time.Sometimes we don't have any U turns .

I had a blast I ran a 68.990 on my first lap in 6 months and ran 4 laps in the 65s.

HANK WE HAVE PICs.!. Bryce, your Wife did a great job with the camera.. Some great shots.

I just got back from the Stadium..I finished 2nd out of 8 cars.I had them all beat until last lap.I was then beaten by a 10th of a second.I think there was 7 cars in SM .Won by a Pontiac GXP.Mark in the 66 Chevelle was getting 67s on todays track and I think Rich in the 69 Mustang also had 67s in the morning.

Matt sorry you didn't make in time to race in the morning...For safety reason we don't let people do laps if they didn't have time to walk the course.People have gotten lost on track before.With 3 cars on the course at the same time it is a safety issue.

I think thats what happened.

Bryce I noticed one of the pics has the dreaded DB meter in it..LOL Stanley(Lime Green Winged Miata) is the guy working the meter.. Did you get any sound warnings..They warn you if your 91 DB.Your DQed once you hit 93db.


I recently picked up a Magazine that had a good list of buyers guide on autocross and street tires.Mag MODIFIED March 13.Some new sticky tires coming on the market. Who has heard of MAXXIS?They are known for rock climbing tires..Now they are making DOT soft compounds.MAXXIS VICTRA RC-1.They missed some choice tires in the article but list some I never heard of.They missed Kumho 710s& victor racers, Toyo 888 and the New200TW BFG G-Force RIVAL


Listen up Next 2 day event is in 4 weeks.The Flyer for that is required to be posted online 3 weeks before event.So any day now we could see a flyer.most likely next weekend... Event date is March 2nd and 3rd

I had no issue with the dB meter.

Got hit with 2 db warnings. I think the course workers got a good show as I was drifting/power sliding the 66 around all 5 of the 180's the last 2 laps. The front of the car was working perfect but I think the rear swaybar needs to be set softer for the tighter tracks. Had a blast and looking forward to March 2/3
