Is this a decent price on a LS1 Package??

I don't really know prices on LS engine but been thinking about going eventually to a LS in my 68 Camaro. This guy is selling a Stock LS1 from a 2002 Camaro with harness/computuer, and a T56 speed transmission /Hurst Short throw shifter / Drive Shaft (had 75,000 miles when puller and no issues).

He is asking $5000 OBO. Any Thoughts

I've just started shopping around but to me that price is on the high side for LS1's, the t56 helps it but youre getting close to LS2's for that price.

More around 3500 is a fair price.

If you have a budget (as I do) have you thought of buying a complete wreck and parting out the rest?

I've got a Ls1 & T56 that cost me $0....I'm actually up quite a bit on the whole deal, just food for thought.
