      ls3 engine harness

Does anyone know if they make different versions of the 2010 up LS3 engine wiring harness? I'm having a couple issues on mine with the alternator plug being different & crank sensor wire way too short... I ran the part # & all it says is GM ls3... I'm running camaro acessories.

Just like anything else it would depend on what car your harness is from. Pictures might help us.

Ok- somewhat have this figured out after speaking with current performance in FL... Somehow I was sent a LS2/LS7 custom GM Racing wiring harness for my LS3. They told me everything will work just fine as I have a LS3 E67 CPU that plugs up to it.
The only issue I have now is the alternator plug is different... The one on the harness is a flat 4 pin connector with 1 orange wire into it in pic2 . I have a 10 camaro internally regulated alt. that appears to have 2 pins with an oval plug in pic1... how do I fix this? Do I need to wire back into the main harness? I'm wiring retarded btw...
what is the right way to fix this so the cpu regulates the current like it's supposed to?

      You can:
      1) send the harness back for the correct one. They may take it back and change it for.
      2) try to rewire the circuit, they may not take it back after the fact that you may have modified it.
      3) buy an LS3 Alternator that will fit the plug.

Just to clarify, how many wires are going into the 4 flat on the harness? If its just one wire, it would not be to difficult to get the 2 circuit plug and swap.

1- no dice- guy is somehow out of business....
2- stuck with this one so I can modify-
3- probly easiest option- but will different alt. run correctly off 1 wire?

There is 1 orange wire going into 4 pin flat plug.... I was thinking of same-just switching out connector but will it run properly off 1 wire for internally regulated alt? will it volage regulate properly thru ECM?

This is what I have so yes you can....just make sure you look at your connector and you can match to the spot which is marked.
Top picture is large connector and the bottom is the 2 wire small.

Let me know if you need help pulling the connectors apart.

I'm in the same position your in with a little differance.. I have three wires on the four prong male connector that comes off the harness. The first wire is a positive wire for sure but the other two go into the harness and I'm assuming regulate voltage.. I also have the exact alt you have.. Did you get. The two prong connector for the harness? Have a part number? If the picture posted by mr quick is a corvette ls3 alt, it leads me to believe I can repin my 3 pin plug to a 2 pin plug by making match the F and L and get rid of the s wire. Please let me know what you figure out so I can get mine working too..

You should be fine - I converted my GTO LS2 E40 harness from the 2 wire plug to the 4 wire plug. My alternator works fine. As said above just match the letters to the corresponding wire.

      I found this pigtail part# pt2057
      http://www.autopartstomorrow.com/par...rnator-pigtail

However rock auto says its part# pt2044
      http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,carc...Connector.html

Once I figure out which plug to order I'm sure I'll figure it out ... Lol
