Gen II power steering pump clip on reservoir

Greetings!



I have a SBC that has the Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine system. I am trying to install a clip on reservoir on to the gen II steering pump vice using a remote reservoir. However, I'm not sure what type of seal/o-ring is required between the pump and reservoir.

I have a new unisteer reservoir, and it came with an o-ring, but doesn't seem to be making a tight seal. Is that the only seal required?

Any assistance or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

found the issue.....really stupid on my part. I have a gen II pump for a remote reservoir setup. The return port is threaded. For clip on reservoir applications, the return port on the pump is not threaded.

Also the unisteer reservoir will only fit unisteer pumps and not the millions of gen2 pumps already out there. Genius of marketing right there
