      UMI Performance/A-Body with tall spindles

UMI Performance is pleased to announce our latest handling option: two inch drop spindles with 1.75" additional spindle height as compared to stock.

Our spindle upgrade works with existing UMI upper and lower arms and is also available in complete kit form. Adding spindle height increases camber gain and keeps the front tires planted as opposed to the stock geometry. When combined with our caster corrected upper a-arms, expect a front end that sticks and also has precise feel and stability.

The stance shown in the photos was achieved with 2" drop spindles and 1" lowering springs up front and 2" lowering springs out back. Current dampers are Bilstein with other options available in both spring and shock.

      Test results coming soon.

Give us a call, PM or email for further details.

Yay! Can't wait to put my UMI suspension package together for my '70 GS!
Perfect stance, will look great with my new American Racing 17x9.5 (rear) & 17x8 (front) Buick mags!

Great stance. But how's the ground clearance?
Building a 69 chevelle convertible. Already decided on UMI, likely stage 3 kit. Want the right stance but also want it to be drivable and not dragging on every bump.

Chassis height is actually pretty good. Our lowest point is the headers (Pontiac engine, not SBC). I can check crossmember height tomorrow when I get to the shop.

That car has a 2" lowering spring in the rear and 1" in the front. We can 1" rear and stock height front to get the overall height up an inch if necessary.

Thanks for considering UMI for your '69!

Looks good! Curious to hear what the crossmember height is.

Our car currently has 245/45-17's up front. With a 1" lowering spring and 2" drop spindle, the crossmember height is 3-1/4" and the header collectors are right at 3". The lower a-arms ball joint to pickup point relationship is pretty sweet as the a-arms are parallel to the ground. We're a little bit nose down right now, kind of a Pro Tour look with a bit of drag race mixed in. Adding a coilover up front to get a tiny bit of crossmember height is a nice option if necessary.Name: LeMans crossmember.jpg
