Should I give it a more sinister look?

So been thinking that a more sinister look for the car was needed for a couple years. Dreams changing all the teal to a satin black, getting different black wheels, and darkening some of billet parts was the thought.

So I have a second set of turnsignals, and taillights to "smoke", then thinking of using the plasti-dip method on the lips of the wheels and billet emblems. I can't do the stripes or the accent teal to satin black this year, so...

Would this look good or just out of place on this car. Semi-murdered look by having the teal stripes and blacked out everything else? Should I just be happy, and quit messing with a good thing?

entirely black wheels are not "aggressive". they are subtle because at a distance they get burry with no detail. they just fade into the wheelwells. also, you can't tell where the wheel ends and the tire starts. this look was pioneered by those hard ass civic guys with black steelies and no hub caps. it's not a look that I would want to emulate.

I'd keep the black wheel centers but ditch the polished lip for a brushed lip. Replacing the teal stripes with matte black strips would be ok. Charcoal/Gunmetal strips would be pretty cool. Then paint the ground effects solid gloss black (ditch the teal). The rear tail light black outs look good on the 3rd gens but I wouldn't do it over the headlights.

Maybe try plastidip to see if you like it. It comes in a flat black

the teal in the side vents needs to go! I would not do anything with the wheels, you need some sort of visual brake from wheel to tire.

I would change get new rims and leave everything else alone. I don't think those rims really work with that car, just my opinion. I actually like the teal, as 80s as it is.

I am not really a fan of the teal anymore and have been going back and forth on what to do with it for at least 5 years. My painter LOVES it, and seems to talk me out of changing it everytime I bring it up. I LOVED the wheels when I bought them 7 years ago, but they are not the perfect wheel for the car or the look and I agree. I wish I could get new wheels right now, but everytime I seem to think I have the extra money something comes up. I have extra turnsignals in the front, and 3 sets of brake lights to smoke in a deep gloss black like my side markers (can't see them ) , but plan on leaving the headlights alone.

My brother recently Plasti-dipped all the badges and the wheels on his car. Rather than mask the badges he just masked a square around them, sprayed the Plasti-dip and peeled off the excess on the paint using the hard lines left by the masking tape leaving only the badges black. It came off the paint easy, and left no mark or residue. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to Plasti-dip your entire car, I would just wash and wax it first so when it comes time to peel it off (if you decide you want it off) their is no dirt or debresis under the plastic which could scratch the paint as you peel it off. Try looking at YouTube, their is deffinatly a video of it and the results.

Eh I’m more of a fan of the 3 piece rear spoiler with the rs ground effects kit or whatever you wanna call it. But to each his own, ultimately its your car and you decide what goes on it.

Yep I am already planning my Saturday around it!

So should I leave any exterior billet showing? Emblems? Center caps in the wheels?

Plasti Dip stripe, should I stick with the Heritage stripes, or do it a little different with a heritage themed single stripe?
