Is there a first Gen version of this console? Option for power window switches?

The console itself will work in a gen 1, but I am not sure if the manual shifter plate will line up. To check, drop straight down from the back edge of the ashtray and then measure from there to the center of the shifter. Send that measurement to me and I will compare that to the shifter plate and console. We also have a blank shifter plate for that console.

I'm interested as well for my 69 Camaro. I measured from the point you spoke of and I got 9.5 inches. I measured from the bottom part of the sheetmetal?

Hopefully I measured from the correct point?

I will check the measurement in the morning and get back to you. The measurement should start where you want the face of the tower on the console to meet the bottom of the dash.

Sounds good. That is the point where I would want the face of the tower..Thanks!

The center of the shifter pocket on this set up is 6 1/4 from the tower face ( top ).
I can modify this shifter plate to meet your measurement. You can call Mike to discuss this modification 260-602-7651.

Console installed in a 2nd Gen Camaro

I finished the console with Sikkens Rally Black. Perfect coverage and nice satin finish. Rick, the guy that painted my car, came through with a great paint to make this console look awesome. I'll remove the console one more time as there is neoprene liner for the inside of the glovebox and for the bottom of the cupholders and the cellphone pocket behind them.

If anyone is interested in this console, just contact Mike at MCI http://www.modernclassicsinteriors.com/ The console comes stock and then you can add the neoprene-lined glovebox, cupholders and/or shifter plate of your choice as options.

They are so new, I haven't seen one wrapped yet......and thanks for the compliment!! I love how it looks too!!

There are some tricky areas that would lead me to to believe, only a professional upholstery shop should attempt it.

Unfortunately that's what I was thinking too... probably would be beyond my interior skill. Doh!

Protour 73, That looks great in the car. I have been considering ripping out my partially mocked up 98 Console in place of one of these. Now seeing yours in place and finished I have made the decision final. Looks great.
