      changed jet size now it wont start

      my camaro was running rich so i decided to change the jets i changed when i put the float bowls back the bolts were stripped so i put heli coils in, job done i put everything back together now it wont start, i see gas squirting into from the top the float adjuster nut was loose and leaking gas so i tightened it, no more leaks but it wont start, i cant check the float level because its on my slanted driveway not level. any help would be greatly appreciated, im stumped. the carb is a holly 0-82750

      I know it's a while ago you posted, but a good rule of thumb for quickly adjusting float level is with the bowl off.....you turn the bowl upside down with the needle and seat lock nut loose, place the head of the bolt under the float and adjust to where it just touches the float and the top of the bowl. This should get you close enough to at least get the car running, then tune from there. Sounds like it got knocked out of adjustment when changing the jets, or the bowl gasket may be on backwards covering the hole for the accelerator pump. Hope this helps!
