The Ford sound tube is not as lame as the BMW approach, at least it is real noise from the engine and not a soundtrack. To me the tube is not a big deal, allows them to pipe in the engine noise they want and leave out the others they don't (road noice, relay ticks, electric fans, compressor cycling). No different than the older cars with poor insulation and lots of holes in the firewall, the engine sound needs some way to get into the car. But all my cars are loud so what do I know.

However long you think your project will take, double it and you might be halfway right.

Whatever happened to the good 'ol butt meter to judge the performance - Pure violence trying to rotate the earth. Rrrrrrrrr!
Sound is sound, I've been in some quiet cars and they actually put me to sleep, so I guess it is an issue. After watching the CTS-V Wagon get beat on run after run at the strip in St. Louis on the Power Tour, I can't imagine that car being quiet inside. The scream of the supercharger and exhaust note outside made me take notice.
