Another coil over question

I have been searching the last hr or so for a comparison between QA1 and Pro Shock front coilovers, There both the same price for the economy kit style. Both are 450lb springs, but would like to see what you all think of them.

Im building my 86 Monte SS for a weekend warrior with a some cone dodging for fun, Sadly my pockets arn't that deep when it comes to what I would like to run vs what I can afford right now. I bought this SS with the intentions of simple body work (replace rear quarter) after being clipped and come to find out that the car was hit harder then expected and bent the frame. It's cheaper for me to frame swap the car then have it pulled so now its turned its self into a frame off. I could have sold this car and gotten myself another platform but this one being 100% stock, rust free and made a personal goal to finish this one. Its my 4th G body and I always kick myself for getting rid of them.

With that being said if someone has some recomendations for me by all means please let me know, Other components in the suspension are 2in S10 98+ drop spindles, 2in A body rear springs (to gain 3-3.5in drop), C5 brakes and stock front A arms and rear will be getting adjustables after I get my 8.8 underway.

Hey Jameson.

I think I posted the QA1 damper curve for econo in the shock sticky above. I would think Pro's damping would be similar but others may be able to verify. We have had good success at UMI with the QA1's.

THe QA1 is a twin tube and the Pro Shocks are monotube. Also the pro Shocks have polyurethane instead of the QA1 rubber bushings.

I have no preferences either way. I run AFCOs on my cars but look into ridetech for a good quality shock.

There are way around that, besides, why go half way, if you spend the cash get the one whos cars are running every weekend! Thats ridetech.
