Somthing to learn from this guy...

Guess you gotta know your car's potential before trying out autocross. Kinda unfortunate...

OUCH! Watched it in slow mo; the driver goes into a hydroplane slide at 40 second frame, then the front wheel slams the curb at 44 seconds, followed by breaking the rear axle against the curb at 45 seconds. The impact was so hard that the side marker light popped from the 1/4 panel! WOW! He seemed to be doing ok during the rest of the course, otherwise.

The lesson to be learned here is to not let an idiot design the course. That video made the rounds on these sites a while ago when it happened and its pretty well agreed upon that it was just plain old bad course design. If they had followed the SCCA guidelines for course design this wouldn't have happened.

x2 it's common for cars to slide out of control through slaloms and boxes. They shouldn't have put that section of the course near a curb. Sucks for the guy because insurance won't cover that more than likely as it is a "timed event".
