      Power Steering hookup advice....

OK....so you guys who transplanted LS1's into your 1st Gen F-bodies, how did you hook up your powersteering pump to the power steering box? I've heard this can be a bit tricky.

I need a list of parts (with part numbers) and a brief instruction, if you would be so kind.

      Thank you gentlemen.

A few ways to do it. I bought complete cars (98-02 Fbodies) for my swaps. I used the stock lines & had them modified at a local shop. The return is easy- just buy the amount of hose you need & have it crimped to the old return fitting. Fot the pressure line, I cut the LS1 hard line just before the crimped hose. Used the metal portion of my old fitting from the steering box & had the shop assemble everything. You could have one made from scratch using reg high pressure hose or braided hose. What does your setup consist of? Scott

      Power Steering hookup advice....

I got my adapters from Dirty Dingo in Arizona. Fairly reasonable, uses a common belt, and is billet aluminum.

I had similar issues, some good ideas were posted here.

I used the DSE fitting and was able to keep the DSE hoses that were on their steering box from my old gen1 motor.
