Without putting the details on the net, I made a purchase for my project last year (from a non-vendor, non-forum member) and was shorted a critical item. Said critical item just showed it's face on ebay from the same seller, with a different set of claims for the origin of the item. Curious if I have any recourse to get this item? Feel free to PM me. I'd rather not air laundry on a forum so let me know what you think by PM, or I can give you more details. Thanks.

I'll put it this way...unless the item is worth several thousand $, it probably isn't worth the hassle/expense.

very true, and if this vendor is out of state you can't even really do small claims court. They probably know this and know you won't do anything about it. Can you dispute the charge on your credit card? That always has worked for me.

If its on Ebay, get on the forum and bash the hell out of him. Too late to send a negative message on his store?

At the very least you can report it to ebay. Not that they will do anything but they most surely will do nothing if you don't report it.

Open a new Ebay account and be the winning bidder. Or have a buddy buy it. Then pay by credit card and .......
