in the winter time, i have the same problem.

Once it is warm enough for a t-shirt, they may speed up or slow down to look, but when they see me in the driver's seat, with my arm hanging out the window, they seem to keep their distance.

My recommendation to deter the gawking? Get lots of tattoos, lift weights and work on your scowl.

I'm usually a really nice person and happy to chat with others, especially about cars, BUT i got really tired of people asking me if i wanted to trade them for their POS 99 ford ranger at stoplights and gas stations.

I guess people tend to back off when they see a 6'2" , heavily tattooed guy with a crew cut and muscles driving my car. Now on the other hand, my wife has taken to just flipping them the bird and screaming " it's my husband's car".
