Not a day goes by when I'm not asked to be someone's Godfather, marriage proposals, or some guy offering up his amazingly hot daughter so my superior genes can be passed down to his grandchildren. It's really getting tiresome...I don't know what to do.

Just yesterday I got a letter in the mail; some town in South Dakota is naming a Grade School after me.

in the winter time, i have the same problem.

Once it is warm enough for a t-shirt, they may speed up or slow down to look, but when they see me in the driver's seat, with my arm hanging out the window, they seem to keep their distance.

My recommendation to deter the gawking? Get lots of tattoos, lift weights and work on your scowl.

I'm usually a really nice person and happy to chat with others, especially about cars, BUT i got really tired of people asking me if i wanted to trade them for their POS 99 ford ranger at stoplights and gas stations.

I guess people tend to back off when they see a 6'2" , heavily tattooed guy with a crew cut and muscles driving my car. Now on the other hand, my wife has taken to just flipping them the bird and screaming " it's my husband's car".

      Very possible Sparky!

It's a conundrum for sure with these cars. It is great that people like them and are almost always polite with their comments, but the honking and whatnot is annoying. That, and I usually have my 5 yr old daughter in the car with me and the "Nice F**ing car, and F**ck yeah, etc. is not cool. She always says "Daddy, what did that guy say?" Nothing sweetheart, he just said "Nice car".

I can't say any thing cause I'm guilty of doing it too. Driving home awhile back on the freeway in my 65 I'm in the left go fast lane in bumper to bumper traffic. Here I am minding my on business following everyone else in front of me when here comes along a nice 69 camaro zipping past in the lane next to me which was flowing along at a faster pace. The traffic in front of me sped up and the middle lane is slowing so I deside I'm going to catch up beside in my 65 and give the guy in the camaro a thumbs up. Just as I almost catch up with him my lane turns on the brake lights again so I push down hard on my 4 wheel disk and shut down to a quick stop just a few feet from the car in front of me. I then hear tires squeal and look up and see a old beater dodge truck who had apparently sped up when I did only problem his brakes weren't near as good. He is bearing down on me fast. As I grip the wheel awaiting for impact I happen to notice the cars in front of me had taken off again. So I punch it to the floor and launched just in the nick of time. The trucks right front tire totally locked up and makes a hard left 90 deg turn into the conrete wall so hard the entire truck bounced off and all 4 wheels cleared the ground before it come back down to rest. He could not have cleared my rear bumper by more than a few inches at the moment of impact. I looked up into the sky and said thank you... and he knew I meant it.

It is hit or miss on the attention my car gets, some days you get a lot of people who just see the yellow car and can't stop looking and smiling. It's funny how yellow makes people smile or puke, lol, some people have asked me "Why Yellow?" the fact that the Cormaro looks just like a plain jane Camaro with nice wheels to most people makes it somewhat invisible. But when someone sees all the mods they pin me down to the hundred questions that most of us are subjected to when we fill up at the gas pump. The good thing is that you actually do meet some really good people and have comversations that you would never have dreamed about.

Learn to go with it and have fun because you never get another chance to live life like living life with a cool car!

The best part of the attention is that it I only get it from everyday people instead of the police. I have driven over 14,000 miles and have never been pulled over. The only officer that ever noticed my car was at a gas station and he saw it from at least 75' away and told me it was a reallly nice car. He couldn't see the roll cage and all the modifications or he might have had a different opinion of it all, lol.
