Corvette suspension is nice but like you said a S*** ton of fabrication. Are you planning on going with bags ever? If it were mine i would just step notch the rear frame and make your own coilover set up. Then get a rear end out of a camaro or go with a ford 8.8 out of an explorer.

You are making this way harder than it needs to be. I commend you on the 4-cyl idea. Alot of great stuff from the OEM and the aftermarket for that motor (GM perf. used to offer a stage 3 kit for these that was pretty radical). I think the S-10 shares components for the G-body line. I would start researching it there. Plenty of stuff developed for them (Cutlass/Monte Carlo, etc.). Alot of stuff in the aftermarket as well (i.e. dirt track racing stuff). As far as the rear, you can get a currie 9 inch (already to length for an S-10 from Summit, Jeg's, or whomever. That leaves you with leafs in the rear, but it would give you a good starting point and you could be driving in no time. You could potentially call Speartech and see if he can do anything with your harness to clean it up for the install. As far as tires you can get a decent size tire under the rear from the factory, again this is something I would work on after getting the bugs worked out of everything else.

The main problem with Corvette suspension components in an S10 is the width of the arms. Unless you are planning a SIGNIFICANT fender/ bed extension, packaging everything will be a real challenge. Don't believe me? Here's one we built at the school a few years ago:

And yes, I know you are not planning on a V8, but the frame will still need to be extremely narrow.

I agree, narrowing without design consideration will do more bad than good. How much of that Solstice can you get. It has a great suspension under it too. Don't forget the Saturn Sky.
Keep it simple, check with the DSE front suspension stubs. I believe one is 53" wide. I applaud your desire to use a smaller engine. Keeping your power to weight ratio is smarter than falling for the bigger is better recipe in this case.

thank everyone for your advice and thoughts i just wanted to make it a pro-touring truck i dont like the leaf springs in the rear but i want a really good rear suspension and i know i can get everything for the engine swap but i might be able to get the rear suspension as well but i dont know if it will fit or what or if it will be a pain like the vetter rear end would be so if you all have more ideas for the front and rear suspension that would be grat because i see alot of ppl with air ride and all that and i dont want that but most of the aftermarketfront and raer suspension for the s-10 is for air ride and slamming it to the ground and i dont want that

Andy's S10 was built for handling. He's using coilovers all the way around. Depending on year, the S10 suspension is identical to the G Body (Malibu, Monte Carlo, etc.). Any Corvette arms will be too wide for the stock body.
