I apologize for the delay in notifying the folks we've already contacted as to whether we have a spot for them or not. We're still waiting to hear back from a few sponsors (who make all our fun stuff possible) and will let folks know as soon as possible.

I heard about this race last year and am planning on attending this year as a spectator. If I were to try and enter for the 2013 race, am I to understand that I need to be absolutely on the ball and have the registration out on the first open day to have a chance? The only reason I ask is I am still building the car and its likely that it will be done, but there is always the chance that something will come up and I won't be able to race.

      Thanks,
      Chris

About 1/2 the racers are "lifers" who bought lifetime numbers 5 - 7 years ago (I think we had ours for 9 years) and they limit the total entries to "about 110" to keep it manageable, in case of red flags, rain, fog, etc, so there are many people trying for the 50-60 "general public" spots available, so it usually sells out when they receive all of the entries in the first couple days and everyone else is on a waiting list.

Just get your Post office to postmark it on the First Monday of October and make sure it contains all forms and a check. If you cancel 60 days prior to the race, you'll get a 100% refund. 59 to 15 days your a 50% refund.

Spots do open up on the waiting list, and cars "requiring repair" or "not finished yet" seems to be the big reasons.

Good to know. I guess I need to get the entry form all filled out and a check ready to send.

      Thanks,

Looks like I will be there again..
      I'm in this year

Working on changing my rear gearing so I don't have to go to 5th in the half-mile (just before the finish line).. have 390s now, thinking 370s or 350s, but can't decided.. don't really need the 390s given how much torque I make.

Will also run the full mile.. although 170+ in my aerobrick is a bit puckerish.. lol

Wonder if they allow nitrous? ;)
