Knock sensors - Does anyone use them?

My new Holley Dominator ECU will deal with a knock sensor. Does anyone run them? Do they work?

I am running the short travel Comp hyd roller lifters and I assume they won't make much noise but I don't know yet.

I think Travis (TraviZ28) just wired up a knock sensor for his Procharged IROC. I think he is using Either a Dominator or HP ECU. Might be worth a PM.

      Good Luck,

I plugged mine in, but I have no idea if there working. I would like to hear from someone with more experience with them. I did a few dyno pulls and didn't have any problems.

i've been running one for awhile but i'm using an old accel dfi gen 6 i have a view screen that i can monitor it on, just to check i took a small hammer and tapped the block and when it picked up my tapping it did retard the timing as it should now that i'm boosted i'm glad it works.

I did find an issue. My Dart Little M block doesn't have a threaded hole for one. If I knew what frequency to look for I might find a rib to drill and tap for one.

i'm not familiar with the dart block but factory applications use the coolant block drain for the knock sensor have to look up part #s 305 ,350,and big block are different frequencies.
