'69 Camaro guys with Covan dash & stereo

Has anyone put a modern stereo in a Covan dash where the factory one would have gone? It looks like there is enough room for one if you cut it out perfectly.

      Anyone?

Yes, they fit. I put a "DIN" style AM/FM CD stereo in mine without a problem.. Best way to cut the plastic is to heat up a new blade in a utility knife. Cuts through fairly easy.

I put one in my 69 camaro covan dash also. It's close, but it fits. The stereo is an eclipse. We did put a support bracket in to stiffen the stereo up too. Pretty easy stuff.

We use the coavn's dash but modified it to fit out A/c vents. We put our Radio in the custon center console.
