68 Camaro Convertible (Resurrection) Rendering Added

      Here it is..
Most people would have let it die a peaceful death.
But.. being the Frankenstein doctors of metal that we are we decided to resurrect it from the grave.

But seriously this thing was rough. Someone said it couldn't be done so here goes.
All work is being performed at our shop SCREAMIN' PERFORMANCE in Sunny Merritt Island, FL

I will have a rendering soon.
I will post more info soon.

      Hope you enjoy
      thanks,
      Brian

Repair panel is too narow at the jam so I had to split it and weld it up.

We are fitting the MCC custom frame rails ,trunk and floor.

After a lot of measuring we determined the 68 trunk reproduction part is just under 3/4 of an inch short end for end.
I had to cut it and will add to it.

Also the lower section was cut out to make way for the MCC rails and 19/355 meats.

God I love this stuff. Brings back memories of when I did my 67 Camaro convertible. About the only thing I could use was the transmission tunnel, most of the other parts were from a totalled low mileage Firebird since reproduction parts weren't around yet. Keep up with the photo's. Where are you having the work done?

      Holy buckets!
Surely there were other parts saved other than what is shown?
What about the dash area, and tail section like the tail panel and trunk lid ect?
Just looking at the starting photos looked like more of it was salvagable that what was actually saved?
I have never seen a first gen assembled from "ground zero"
like this. Hey, "Ground Zero" that could be its project name!
      I wont charge...LOL...
But good luck and keep the photos comin!

Yeah, it 's nice that there are so many parts available now. Although they need alot of tweaking. Makes almost anything possible.

I am doing all the work myself at my shop SCREAMIN' PERFORMANCE.

The starting photos actually made it look better than is was.
The only other parts saved were the dash face and vert top frame.

The car was a retired race car that sat in a field in Detroit forgotten for many years. Best I can tell it was an original SS 396 4 speed car.
