      Which racing gloves to get??

What racing gloves are you guys using for track days/road course? I just ordered the Alpinestar "Tech 1-Z" gloves but They also had a "Tech 1-S" that was the same exact price and I had a hard time telling the difference between the two. I believe both were some type of Nomex construction and obviously fire resistant. I also noticed some gloves were rated for "SFI" and others were rated "FIA". And some were rated for both "SFI" AND "FIA". IT started to confuse me a little.

If you run with international sanctioning bodies, you need FIA cert, if in the US (and MAYBE Canada), SFI is fine. Either are OK for track days. Typically, an SFI/FIA glove would be more extensively tested, so more expensive all else being equal. Which, of course, it never is.
