Hinge Rebuild/ Painting
I am in the process of rebuilding my door hinges on the 69 Camaro in advance of replacing the quarter panels and aligning the rest of the sheet metal. I have disassembled the hinges and blasted them to bare metal. As I get ready to rebuild, my question/concern is "protecting" the new pins, rollers, etc. from paint and primer overspray as the car progresses. Taping doesn't seem like it will be too effective with all the nooks and crannies and moving parts. I have thought about powder coating the hinge parts and only installing them for final fitament and once the paint is done to avoid overspray.
Seems trivial, but with the attention to detail these cars deserve, what have you guys done on your rebuilds?
Regards,

Take the doors off, remove hinge parts, paint, put back on, or remove hinges, powdercoat and put back on.

Sounds like you aren't repainting the car. Hinges are body color right? Do you want them to be "correct"? Here's what I did. After some research, I painted my 68 Firebird with the doors on. I understand this is how the factory did it. The hinges were disassembled, blasted, epoxy primered, rebuilt (lithium grease on moving parts), installed on door, door installed on car, then painted. Hinges were not masked - only the door opening. They came out well. Paint did not stick to moving parts at all. Though I didn't have the best access to all of the hinge they still got plenty of coverage.
