My tires are in danger
So last night Big Green did his first burnout on the street, ever. This was originally a 307 PG car with a 3.08 pegleg rear which equates to no burnouts
. I added the posi rear and a TH350, but the old 307 didn't have enough umph to spin both.
Now I have the new '307' installed, and just put in a Coan Pro-Street 2800 stall over the weekend. I'm starting to get it dialed in a bit, and last night I went out, and punched it from about 5mph in first gear. At first I was worried, because my rpms were rising but I wasn't accelerating very fast. Then I realized that I'm not accelerating because I'm laying a patch in the road
. So I slowed back down and did it again :D. I can tell my rear tires aren't going to last long now.
After 36 years, Big Green can finally burn rubber with the best of them

sorry, dont' have any pics of the 'glory stripes'
. Maybe I can get a friend to videotape a 'test run' for me. I've got a friend that does professional grade digital photography just as a hobby. He's going to do a photoshoot for me soon, and I'll have some new pics to post.
