      Sell a Rolex Watch?

Anyone sell one before? I have one that is kind of old, I never wear it or will. Could fund my LS project...How do you determine value?

If you have the model, Google it or check on eBay. An authorized Rolex dealer can also give you a value. So many variables as value is based on overall condition, how many of the model were made, the year ...

Do your homework, go to a few reputable dealers and get appraisals on it, don't tell them your selling it say you need it for insurance reasons that way you will get the real deal on it.

An "insurance appraisal" is useless as that has no reality of real market price on anything!

If you want a real appraisal of value go to reputable jewelers and pawn shops who buy used Rolex watches or as in the case here in Nashville the several well known Rolex buyers who have been here for years buying and selling USED Rolex watches to get a true market value. Yes if they do buy your watch they will be wanting to make a profit on your watch so add what you think they would consider a profit (probably 50%) to determine a real market value. Realize that you will probably NOT get top market value selling your watch yourself since your probably NOT the Rolex go to guy in your area so how and where you find your ultimate buyer greatly affects what you will get for the watch.

Forget Craigslist as EVERYONE will want to buy your watch for nothing!

Thank you, I ended up listing it on EBay. I did some "is it a fake" checks on google....The cool thing is the arms glow in the dark lol. I will let the bidders decide I guess.

There is a jewelry store called "Mayors" this is the place where I have bought several Rolex watches from

      http://www.mayors.com/

they can tell you what the watch is worth..... I bought my GMT Master and my yatchmaster from them as well as my wife's two tone oyster perpetual I would not buy anywhere else.
