That's awesome. Those 345's look great under there. Hell, I'd take that paint anyday, at least I'd have some.

Frank what are those exhaust tips off of? I like them enough that I am thinking of putting them on my car. Are those 3" ?

Adam, keep in mind Michael is doing this with his money, so he is on a tight budget. So when I tell you they are Discount Auto parts Ricer specials you will understand. Actually though they look to be really nice, they are resonated and solid stainless. He only paid about $25 a piece, which is real cheap for stainless tips. if you do not have a Discount Auto parts up there, let me know and I can grab you a pair and send them.

They are for 3" exhaust and measure 4.25 OD. The slash angle at the end is about 10 degress different then the rear body panel, we adjusted the angle nd got it damn close

I know all about tight budget. Those look so nice I think I definetly want them if they are only $25 a piece. The angle was my concern but it looks perfect on there and I would be able to set them how I wanted on my car for my Viper mock up. These would be soo much nicer than chrome tips. These will be perfect for my Viper inspired exhaust. Expect a PM in a few minutes. I think Rick Dorin might be interrested in these also since he is running a similar exhaust to my original idea from this thread. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=678

Frank. The car looks awesome! I do have one question though. How did you set the suspension while on that cart? Won't the wheels raise up into the body when you set it down...possibly creating some rubbing?

      Un-FREAKIN-believable!!
Ride height is awesome. Note that there is no subframe frame hanging below the body line.
-Stinger hood is a nice change from all the cowl induction hoods. Awesome!
      -Frenched fuel filler looks killer.
      -Exhaust? Beautiful!
-Frank did not mention that the roll bar is built in such a way that it clears the convertible top when in the up position. Awesome!
-Glad to see that you are going with Forgelines instead of the wheels in the rendering.

As for the rear spoiler, the "bow" is exaggerated by the presence of the roll bar--which has a nice curvature. I would call Wings West, tell them that you are thrashing on a SEMA build and have a little problem. Email them the pix and see if they can help. Maybe you can send them your spoiler and a template of the roll bar's curvature. I know (second hand) that they are the real deal.

The susension is centered at that height and still has 3" of travel. Because Michael channeled the body over the new frame, the suspension rides centered instead of already in droop near the stops. We have the suspension locked in the rear with bars in place of shocks at ride heaight, the front is still loose, ala jack. But she will ride, at full travel, at that height, which is under 6" rocker height, with nothing hanging under the car like exhaust. Since it is a full channeled chassis, center of gravity should be very low. Ride height will be adjustable with double adjustable coil over QA1s at each corner

Genious. That is something to be proud of. I just looked at the pics on your site of the build. I do not think I have ever heard (let alone thought) of hiding the exhaust that way....although I am an amature still learning.

Do you know if you have a higher resolution picture of that exhaust actually in the frame? I think it is picture #47 of 71 on your site. Is it ceramic coated? Since exhausts get pretty hot, are there any possible dangers, repercussions of having it buried into the frame? Forgive my ignorance. I am just fascinated by that.

Frank, WOW that is awesome looking. I have the same spoiler, and it is as wavy as the ocean. I was going to scrap it until I saw how good it looked on your car. Great work on the camaro.

This is one car that looks better in real life then in the rendering! Very nice job, but the spoilers gotta go. It makes the car look tacky. IMO.

Found the webpage on the Forgeline wheels. You're gonna have to give Michael a raise. $$$!

      http://www.forgeline.com/wheels/sp3p.html

And yes. I'm posting a huge-A-licious pic of the wheel on purpose. Check out the detail on those chamferred edges!

      Steve,
Check out the valve stem placement too. Forgeline pays so much attention to the little details. They were great to work with too on my wheels. After reading about horror stories about non delivery or slow delivery from other wheel makers, I was very pleased when my wheels came on time and correct. Forgeline seems to be interested in our nitch of the hobby and price their wheels accordingly. While they are certainly high end, I have not seen any of their wheels that I would not love to own.

I think steevo's idea is the easiest and least expensive if WW comps you.

Yeah, the bar is funtional and real important. It ties into a crossmember, and has some hidden Stantions behind the interior trim panel. I am pretty happy with the roll bar also, it was a pain in the ass to make. You can see Michael making it on the website at Projects, Current Projects, Michael's Prodigy. He basically bent up the bar, spilt it and boxed it.
If not you could make one out of steel (or aluminum).
-Take the original off the car and place it on a level table
-Bend a pice of steel (@ desired thickness) over the top and form a rough piece of the wing
-Cut bases off the original wing & bend more steel around them to form mounts for new wing ( don't completely close them leave a U shape)
-Weld in steel rods to brace mounts, then weld up U shape
-Weld the three pieces together, tack onto car, & hammer out the final shape

      Just an idea
