      1968 Chevrolet Camaro *Barn Find*

I have a garage find '68 Camaro that is all mostly original. I have the original owners manual and original owners protection plan warranty booklet with protecto plate. NOT VERY COMMON TO COME ACROSS THESE. It is missing the driver door panel, front bumper, right rear quarter window and maybe a few other minor things. You can pretty much tell what is missing from the pictures, it is not a lot in reality for a car like this.
The vin tells me that it is an original 327 210 Horsepower 8cyl, 2dr. Sport Coupe made in the Los Angeles, CA factory. It was then brought to Salinas, CA where it was originally sold.
The paint code is Grotto Blue, it is still the original color but looks like it has been resprayed many many years ago. It has the standard blue bucket seats. I am almost positive that the engine and transmission are the original. The rear end has 3.07 Posi gears. The interior is the original blue and all mostly there, just missing the driver side door panel and maybe a couple other minor things. Car has never left California and has been sitting in a garage for a little over 17 years.
There is some rust on the car from it sitting for those 17 years but nothing major or crazy like rotted floor or trunk pans. Basically it is nothing that cannot be fixed with some simple body work. It is perfect for someone looking to do a full resto on it. Long story short this car was put into a garage 17 years ago because the original owner went to prison and he was planning on getting out, he recently found out he is not going to be released so I picked it up from his brother because he is not able to complete the resto and wants nothing to do with it. Before it was put into the garage 17 years ago the engine was completely rebuilt with brand new internals. I just installed a brand new edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, water pump, fuel pump and thermostat, alternator, radiator, and new drums, wheel cylinders, and shoes all the way around.
It is a RUNNER. runs great, sounds awesome. All that is left to do is the suspension work because it creaks like an old car. And make her pretty.

I am asking $10,500 OBO Also interested in trades. Let me know what you have.
If you are interested you can reach me at 831-277-3074 thanks. Text for quickest response.

Did you go to the prison and get him to sign the title? Was he in there for auto theft?

LOL I always love all the negative and smart ass comments people leave on forums. Clean title registered until January 2014. Title in hand ready to transfer.

Very cool - this is what my car looked like from the factory (mostly). My headliner has the stitching busted out in the exact same spot. GLWS!
