Re paint question

What part of the car are the stripes on? If they are on the hood roof trunk, I would sand down entire panels, mask and re-paint stripes or where ever you cut through. When you reclear these panels put 2 coats clear on the whole panel, then 2 or 3 extra coats clear over your edges, and then 1 more over entire panel. This will give you the extra build up to sand down the edges and polish or reclear the entire panels again. You can blend clear on panels but it is tricky and takes practice, it works best on Sharp edges and then polish out.
