Project IMPULSIV 70 Chevelle convertible

I feel like I got to the party a little late as I have been working on my car for about a year. After doing nut and bolt restoration on my 67 L79 Corvette Roadster, I felt like I needed to get away from the all encompassing search for numbers matching date coded water pumps, alternators and other original parts to build a car I can actually drive hard and enjoy. I have owned a couple of Chevelles and always loved the feel of the big A-Bodies...... so the plan was hatched when I came across a convertible languishing in friends garage. Anyways, I will upload a few pictures of the progress I have made to date, and hopefully have time to keep those of you A-Body fans updated as I make progress. Let me just say thank you to all of you who participate in these forums as I have gained a ton on knowledge from your posts. Your input and constructive feedback is welcome as I work through the decisions yet to be made.

Been making some significant progress on this project. Received my tank from Rick's. Looks really nice and bolted right in. I had the tank narrowed, and made deeper because I want to run the exhaust between the tank and the frame rails and trough the lower valance. Been mocking up the brakes, brake lines, fuel lines and and pedal assemblies. need to start thinking about enginer wiring and modification of the original harness and computer. Any input on wiring would be appeciated.

Just a couple more pictures. So far I am very please with my Baer brakes. The brakes went together without any drama, and seem to be very well manufacured and engineereed. I can't wait to stab them going into turn 1.... Wheels are the next item on the list. Reached out to Jason at Rushforth today because I really like the super spoke. Had a great conversation with him about my overall project direction. I am looking forward to working with him on the wheels.

What ever happened with this? Curious to see how that bar turned out.
And yes I realize it's an old thread and he hasn't been on in a while but maybe he'll get a notification or someone else has seen it or something similar.
