      Anyone convert their factory controls...

to control the Gen II Vintage Air units? I heard it can be done but not sure how the best way is. I dont want to use the Gen I units but I also dont think I want to use an aftermarket contol. Any ideas? Thanks!

      Gen 2 control wiring

The Gen 2 has three wires which control the modes, blue, green, and yellow. If you power the blue, you have dash mode, green is defrost mode, and yellow is floor mode. When you don't power any, it will default to bi-level. This is easily accomplished with two or three limit switches and clever wiring. You will need to adapt the gen 2 blower switch to the factory control panel, and build a linkage to actuate the heater pot off of the temp lever. Remote mount the thermostat and trigger it with another limit switch on the temp lever. The white wire is always ground, and the pink is to switched 12v.

Use your VA wiring diagram as a guide.

Thanks for the info! Sounds a little complicated though!
