      GMR - Fabrication Components

      GMR9 – 3″ Filler Cap for housings

Are you tired of small useless filler caps that have no style and get stuck on the housing once everything gets warm? Do you want the luxury of being able to inspect and view the gears in the housing without removing the third member?

Well, the new GMR9 Filler cap is the solution to these common housing issues. With almost 3 inches of visible opening The GMR9 Filler cap can be placed on the back of your housing to make gear inspection easy.

The Billet 6061 precision machined cap is designed for easy hand tightening and loosening. Even when the housing is warm or the cap is “stuck” in place as they often do with all rear ends, we have machined a precision hex that works with a standard socket. This results in never having the cap stuck or having to utilize a strap / pipe wrench to loosen the cap which scratches and sometimes destroys it.

To keep the housing perfectly sealed each cap is designed to fit a custom O-ring that locks in place with the threaded bung that is provided. This O-ring seals the back side of the threads to the inside of the bung, creating a fail proof seal that will never leak! To further increase the strength each cap is coated with a hard anodize, the same as our hub bodies.

To complement the top caps we precision CNC machine bungs that match each cap perfectly. These bungs are either machined from high grade steel or Stainless. For those with mild steel / 4130 housings the standard bung is perfect, if you are running a stainless housing then the stainless bung is a must to prevent corrosion.

      High Grade Steel $64.99
      Stainlees Steel $76.99

Each Top cap comes with one O-ring and threaded bung.

So awesome...This is the tip of the iceberg. I'd rock these for every knob in my house! Door knobs, kitchen cabinet knobs, dresser knobs, you name it.

Thanks for the complements guys! I dont even want to admit how much time in development we have in just this one part... its kinda embarrassing... haha.

Another thing to note, we also set the tolerances of the threads POST coating so that we ensure the perfect thread feel / engagement even after welding the bung in place. These units are standard on ALL GMR9 rear ends!

haha I was trying to figure out what the holes were inside the cap, then I realized I was looking at the table lmao.

Very cool idea, toss a set of gears in there to show it off more. I can see several uses for these.

I've commented on the quality of Jason's parts before, since I own almost everything he makes, these things are Damn sweet. I have one in my GMR9, it is all top quality stuff, and the welds are almost too perfect to hide under the car.

      GMR9 – Dash 6 Housing Vent Fitting

These fittings are precision machined for standard Dash 6 lines and fittings. With a thick flat base they are very easy to weld to just about any surface of a rear end housing. The bottom section is just thick enough to provide enough material so that when welded the heat does not distort the threads / bevel of the fitting to ensure a tight seal. We machine them out of high grade steel or stainless for those with stainless housings.

In the picture below you can see the vent fitting welded to the top right section on the back of the housing core.

      High Grade Steel $9.74

      Stainless Steel $13.56
