Thanks. I was on their website briefly this morning. I'll be sure to give them a call. I wasn't able to work on the car today so I will try the bypass of the cooler tomorrow.
Thanks again for all of your help.

Started the car back up to test before I completely bypassed the cooler and the brakes released a little bit this time, but still not where they need to be. I then bypassed the cooler and the problem went away. Called Kelvin at PSC and he hooked me up with a fitting. He said it should fit as long as my current setup is hooked up to the stock fitting off of the pump. He said if this doesn't work, I may have to run a dedicated line off of the reservoir into a bulkhead instead of a T. This wouldn't be too bad as that would only require the addition of one hose. I could place the bulkhead in the same location as the T and not have to shorten/lengthen any of the existing lines.

Installed the new fitting from PSC tonight. It looked awful similar to the stock one in terms of orifice size. We'll fill it back up with fluid and start it again tomorrow to see if it works or not.

Well I guess I should've expected this, but it seems that because it looked similar it provided similar results. With everything connected as it was originally along with the new fitting in the power steering pump, nothing changed. The brake pedal still went down on its own upon starting the car. It is frustrating to think that the majority of people that have used this setup haven't had the same issues. I know it may be that a lot of people don't run a cooler. Now it looks like I will have to reroute hoses and purchase a distribution block. The simplest thing I can think of is to place the distribution block in place of the T-fitting and add a dedicated hose coming out of the power steering reservoir. I need for this to be over. I've got too much else to do to the car.

Man I am really sorry to hear this. I know how it is with problems we fight sometime. Stick with it, it will be worth it in the end. I had a similar situation when I was setting up my Hilborn Injection, just wanted it to be over with.

After talking with Jim at Hyrdratech, I had only performed half of the fix. Now it's time to eliminate the T and just run a straight line from the reservoir to the assit unit and then this problem will be no more. Thanks again for the help guys!

Fixed! That's right, Who's bad? No just kidding, without the help form the guys at Hydratech and the people on this site I'd still be banging my head against the wall. The bulkhead adapter came in Wednesday and I made a template from a coat hanger to get the length of the new, dedicated return line. The guys at Charleston Rubber & Gasket have been great throughout this build and they helped me out again with the longer hose and the male - male -6 AN to replace the T.

The noise, foaming and premature brake pressure are all a thing of the past. Now it's time to move on and work towards getting this thing on the road where it belongs!

so let me get this straight.

Run the HP line from the pump to the hydroboost, Hydroboost to the rack.
Run return from rack to reservoir
Run return from hydroboost and tap the reservior in the middle and run return from hydroboost to there

      Is this correct?

Instead of Tapping the side of the reservoir can we place a T between the rack and the reservoir return and run the hydroboost return there? Any issues with height or location?

I know this thread is solved and long dead, but my experience for future reading. I had a similar "feed back" issue that would just slightly apply my brakes when the system was under pressure. I had tried every cooler known to man different size trans coolers, even called Haden and was told never to use a trans cooler only a power steering cooler because of the greater flow, made no difference. I vented my pump cap, no help. Finally I moved my tee line to the down stream side of the cooler return line and WALLA the feed back went away. I bought fittings to put a hole in my reservoir like this gentleman but dont need to now. Love my hydroboost!
